Water Polo Australia has officially announced the Ord Minnett Aussie Sharks team for the upcoming Water Polo World Championships Oceania Qualifier, set to take place in Perth this April.
We are incredibly proud to share that two of our very own Phoenix athletes, Daniel Magasanik and Tyson Mutsch, have been selected to represent Australia in this prestigious event.
The Aussie Sharks will go head-to-head with New Zealand in a best-of-three series, with the winner securing a coveted spot at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships.
The Oceania Qualifier will be hosted at the Perth High Performance Centre on 17, 19 and 22 April, coinciding with the 2025 Australian Youth Water Polo Championships. With junior teams from all over the country converging on Perth, it’s a fantastic opportunity for young players to witness elite international water polo up close.
